I used to imagine that when a witch casts spells, she would be in front of a big cauldron with puffs of smoke coming out of it. She would be wearing a long, black robe. Her eyes would be closed as she waves her hand above the cauldron.

She would then say words in a different language and then finally would stick a pin on a poor, helpless doll. Is this scary or what?

This is how witches and spell casting were pictured. Associating magic with the dark arts was what made people become afraid of witches.

They were rumored to bring with them death, plagues and tons of curses. Witchcraft love spells were instantly thought of as the work of the devil him (or rather – her) self.

When Wicca was accepted as a form of religion, spell casting seemed to take on a different light. Gone were the days when spells were feared for fear that the caster meant to bring ill fortune on the unfortunate “victim”.

Nowadays, spell casting has become an alternative solution to some pressing problems. More often it has to do with problems of the heart.

The Wiccan Spells are as old as time. Some saying that it was derived from the old Celtic ways. In modern times, Wiccan spells are compared to meditation, prayer and channelling positive vibes to help solve certain problems.

But as the Wiccan rule says, not all spells are to be done. Spells that might endanger other people and spells that control or manipulate another person are some samples of spells that are frowned upon. Certain rules have to be followed after all.

There are several kinds of Wiccan Spells. It all depends on what a particular person wishes to improve in his or her life. Spells for money are used to bring in good fortune in business and other forms of establishments.

Candle love spells, revenge spells, binding spells, protection spells and fertility spells are to name a few from the very long list of available spells. But the most popular kind of spell that Wiccan witches can do is those spells for love.

Love spells vary depending, as mentioned earlier, on what a “customer” particularly wants to be done. It can be to find love, attract love, and bring back a lost one or to make yourself beautiful to others. But there are still boundaries to be observed.

Spell casting changed along with the times. Before you have to find a witch and go to their place to have spells cast for you. Crystal balls are a usual sight. As well as various crystals, a deck of Tarot cards, candles and other weird things.

Nowadays, spell casting is so accessible via the internet. Various sites claim that the webmaster is a true Wiccan and they offer guaranteed love spells, effective love spells, etc. But nothing comes for free of course.

For a few dollars, you’re worries will be solved! For those who are a bit short on cash, don’t worry. There are sites who offer free spells. Some upload in their sites simple magic love spells that people could actually do themselves. They even list down all the ‘ingredients” that will be needed for every spell.

Here is one example of a spell I saw in one of these sites. Hey, I am no Wiccan; this is just for sample purposes, ok? In the site that I got this spell from, it says that this spell is an Attraction Spell. Here’s how it goes:

Tools:

· A cup of milk

· 21 pink rose petals

Instructions:

· If you wish to attract the heart of another, take a bath on a Friday evening by adding to it one cup of milk and 21 pink rose petals.

· Once in the bath, recite the following incantation,

“I request from the goddess of love, with the great power of nature, to make in kind that I can attract the love that I wish. How it is thus!”

· Repeat this procedure weekly, if necessary.

See it is so simple to do. But as to whether it will work or not, I don’t know. So simple and yet so full of “unanswered questions”. I am just curious though, how does it work for an ordinary person who is not a witch, like me for example?

Will the spell work the same way if a true magical witch will be the one who does the ritual? Or will the end result be the same anyway if I cast them myself? Is this a white magic love spell or a black magic love spell? How long before I see any “result”? Are these real love spells? Is the Law of Three applicable to this?

A word of advice, though they seem simple spells it would be best to handle them with utmost care. It may seem silly to some, just a group of words written down to look like they were magical or something.

But there are a lot of things in this world that we do not really understand. One silly spell may actually turn out to be real. Who knows, right? We might have done something we have no control over and the repercussions cannot be undone. As the old saying goes “it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
